Christine Breese History Christine grew up in Pennsylvania. She has a sister three years younger who is raising a family with her husband. Her mother and father followed a Christian path which Christine also followed until she was in her teens. When she reached 14 years of age, she began to question all that she had learned about spirituality, and endeavored to explore other types of religions, trying to find what was common between them all. She did this until her late 20's, reading everything she could get her hands on, since she couldn't afford to go to workshops, ashrams or receive instruction in any other way. She explored all kinds of exercises and techniques, and even made them up on her own as her guides gave her direction. What she found was that all religions have a belief in a higher power of some sort or another. All religions endorse being a good person to others and treating others as you would want to be treated (the golden rule). With this, Christine focused on meditation and finding the answers from within, realizing that at the core of it all it is inside ourselves where we must look for God. Religion was only there for giving pointers and ideas on how to do that. Christine Breese went on Grateful Dead Tours for fun, traveled with her backpack in third world countries for adventure, and attained two entertainment industry degrees in Audio Engineering and another in Video and Film Production at Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts. She then worked for various film companies, producers of commercials, and also for Disney on the Mickey Mouse Club show with Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake. She also wrote and performed 200 of her own original rock and roll songs with her band, playing lead guitar. She still enjoys playing music with her friends and performing once in a while. After her time of working in the entertainment industry, performing, and travelling to other countries, Christine decided that there was still something missing in her life, although she didn't know what it was. How could she be so miserable when everything on the outside was going well? She decided to go on a spiritual vision quest for 6 months in the wilderness, and it turned into 6 years. During this time, she dove deep into the task of remembering her childhood and found that there were quite a few severe and traumatic experiences that she needed to heal. Penniless and having to figure out how to heal all on her own, she developed the ability to go deep within and commune with the astral and spirit worlds for guidance, learning how to meditate deeply for long hours. After this, she returned to civilization and began to write books, develop healing and teaching methods, and created her true life work. She had been teaching meditation classes during her years in the entertainment industry field, but now it was time for her to manifest a vessel for healing in the world and turn her experiences of healing into a path for others. Upon moving to California, Christine Breese created Starlight Journal, a quarterly magazine, and taught local classes in Humboldt County for years. Her students worked with her for a year before completing some of her programs. A few of them said they felt that after all they learned and experienced, they wished they could have earned a degree for all that they had accomplished in self-transformation. Christine Breese then opened University of Metaphysical Sciences, Wisdom of the Heart Church and her work went global. After a decade of success, Christine Breese wanted to meet the needs of students who wanted to study together in person and learn. Breese had always wanted to open a retreat center, and thus was born the idea of Gaia Sagrada. Ecuador is a country where all modern amenities are available, but land and building costs are half of what they cost in the United States. Ecuador was a good choice in places to open a retreat center where University of Metaphysical Sciences extra curricular studies could take place for people who wanted to study in person. Christine is a visionary, and a great manifestor. She takes ideas and puts them into action like no one else. She works tirelessly at the non-glamorous parts of manifesting, doing most of the grunt work and startup work that no one else will do, literally for free without pay. She very rarely has the time to do her creative work and hopes someday she has the time to write the books, articles, make the meditation CDs and videos she knows would help so many people, but for now she is focused on creating a beautiful sanctuary in physical reality for those who wish to experience workshops, retreats and classes in a natural and beautiful setting for a price the ordinary person can afford.
